Patcraft Partners Up with American Red Cross
Patcraft, a leader in high-performance commercial flooring, has donated more than $67,000 to the American Red Cross, Texas Gulf Coast Region, through a giving program to benefit Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Since September 2017, Patcraft collected two percent of every sale of product shipped to Texas to donate directly to the humanitarian organization. With customers and team members located throughout the Houston area, Patcraft's giving program aims to contribute to rebuilding communities after the Hurricane Harvey devastation.
"We care greatly about our Houston community, our customer partners and our team members, and we will continue to provide support as the city recovers over the coming years," said Jeff West, vice president of marketing for Patcraft.
Patcraft visited with its Red Cross partners to deliver the check. The donation will benefit rebuilding efforts, including funding financial assistance for households that need extra help, and grants to important non-profit partners in the region.

During and following Hurricane Harvey, the Red Cross and its partners provided more than 435,000 overnight shelter stays, served more than 4.5 million meals and snacks, distributed more than 1.6 million relief items, and provided health services and emotional support to tens of thousands of hurricane survivors.
Affordable Vet Care in Austin
Sometimes a visit to the vet is financially out of reach, or even inaccessible in some areas. Seeing a community in need, interior architecture firm lauckgroup (now Perkins+Will) contributed its time and services to artfully craft Emancipet’s new Central Austin clinic. Some of the features throughout the pet- and pocket-friendly design include separate entries for healthy and sick animals, a doghouse-themed check-in desk, a three-table surgical suite, and six state-of-the-art exam rooms.
Natural materials such as distressed woods and industrial metals are woven throughout to provide warm touches reminiscent of home, and durable materials for ease of maintenance. Additionally, the design team worked closely with Emancipet’s marketing group to develop an environmental graphics package that reinforced the company’s brand messaging and created a cohesive vision with the interior design concept.
At 3,900 square feet, the clinic is Emancipet’s largest to date and will serve as a prototype model for the non-profit veterinary care company as it works to expand its mission beyond the organization’s Texas roots.

Eat a Dish, Make Someone’s Wish
Gianna Tetrick, director of marketing for the Chicago-based design firm Simeone Deary Design Group, was recently inducted into Maggiano's Hall of Fame for her philanthropic work with the Make-A-Wish foundation. Now in its 15th year, the Eat-A-Dish for Make-A-Wish campaign, spearheaded by Tetrick and carried out by the dedicated Maggiano's team, has raised more than $8 million dollars and has granted over 1,100 wishes to many deserving children receiving treatments for serious illnesses.
Tetrick partnered with Make-A-Wish in 2004, creating a charitable and long-lasting program for Maggiano's while serving as its marketing director. From June to mid-August, Tetrick’s program encourages diners to order select dishes on the menu which the family-focused Italian eatery then donates a portion of proceeds to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
