Unless you have mini designers of your own at home, you may not be aware of Minecraft—the hugely popular digital game that allows users to build and create their own environments.
This past December, as part of the annual Festival of Trees and Lights event at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, 9-year-old Henry submitted his rendering of the hospital to their artwork competition.
Having been a patient at the hospital when he was only 6 weeks old, Henry has made the Festival of Trees and Lights a tradition with his family, and he was excited to have his rendering included in the contest. He explained that he chose to use Minecraft because the game allows him to use his imagination to build anything he wants without limits.
Hopefully Santa will bring this guy some drafting software. We envision an awesome career for the future starchitect.
