The Design Futures Council’s DesignIntelligence recently surveyed industry practitioners to rank the best undergrad and graduate programs for interior design. The research included 1,426 professional practice leaders with direct experience hiring and supervising the performance of recent architecture and design graduates.

Among other criteria, the survey asked participants, “In your firm’s hiring experience in the past five years, which of the following schools are best preparing students for success in today’s profession?” The results also ranked schools in skills assessments across six categories: communication skills, design skills, computer applications, cross-disciplinary teamwork, research and theory, and sustainable design practices and principles.
