Aquafil USA Operation Moves to 100-Percent Renewable Energy
The crew members of the city of Cartersville are hard at work to meet the deadline March 21, when a new, fully dedicated electric substation will be activated to provide Aquafil USA with energy coming entirely from green renewable sources, mostly wind and solar. The 1 Aquafil Drive fiber extrusion plant was inaugurated in 2006. Eleven years later, thanks to an agreement signed with the City of Cartersville electric department, Aquafil USA is just weeks away from no longer using fossil fuels to power the facility.
