Bill Bouchey has joined HOK as a principal and director of design for interiors in New York. Bouchey, a recognized leader in workplace design, brings 28 years of experience in the design and development of large-scale interiors projects to HOK.

In his new role, Bouchey will lead clients and team relationships collaboratively. His design approach emphasizes the philosophy of “designing the experience” with high performance, brand-focused solutions, accommodating changing industry needs.

Bouchey was most recently at VOA Associates, serving as design director. Prior to that, he worked for MMOSER and Mancini Duffy. His past clients include Canon USA, Christie’s, Viacom, Teach for America, Milliken, and WPP. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Palette App, and is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology.

“Bill’s creativity and concept-based design approach will bring tremendous value to our clients in New York and across the region,” said Tom Polucci, AIA, IIDA, firm-wide director of interiors at HOK. “He will play a pivotal role in our ability to deliver exceptional design and service to clients. His forward-thinking design will guide our practice to solutions that empower people and transform organizations.”

HOK’s New York office is currently providing design services for a corporate client in the World Trade Center, and for the 1.3 million-square-foot passenger terminal at LaGuardia Airport as part of the LaGuardia Gateway Partners team. Previous projects in the region include the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel and the Teach for America Headquarters.
