Centiva Announces Sustainability Certification

The company’s Contour and Victory Series products both achieve silver level certification under the NSF/ANSI-332 Sustainability Assessment for Resilient Floor Coverings

FLORENCE, Ala.—Centiva announces the certification of its Contour and Victory Series products to the NSF/ANSI-332 Sustainability Assessment for Resilient Floor Coverings. These products achieved the silver level certification in the NSF 332 Assessment process conducted by UL Environment.

The NSF/ANSI-332 Sustainability Assessment for Resilient Floor Coverings considers multiple attributes of the product and has prerequisites and potential points in six key areas:

  1. Product Design
  2. Product Manufacturing
  3. Long-term Value
  4. End-of-Life Management
  5. Corporate Governance
  6. Innovation

The Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) with the assistance of NSF International began developing this sustainability assessment for resilient floor covering products in 2006. A multi-stakeholder committee was formed with balanced representation from the end user, manufacturer and regulatory groups to provide the commercial market with an easy-to-understand certification for resilient flooring products. The standard allows transparency and open understanding regarding conformance requirements, providing for more understandable and meaningful marketplace comparisons.
