On Monday, November 11, the design community came out en masse to catch NEWH New York’s Product Runway, a fundraiser for students working towards a career in the hospitality industry.
Attendees lined up around the block outside the Marquee Night Club in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood to see what happens when 16 hospitality interior design firms and 16 manufacturers pair up to create runway-ready fashion. Inside the show, the contest’s participants did not disappoint.
Ultimately it was up to a panel of three judges to determine the winner:

The Bill Rooney Studio/Lusive Décor team took first place, with a nod to Chanel that defied material constraint.

Led by an esteemed board, including NEWH NY Chapter President and BBG-BBGM Partner Amy Jakubowski, the Product Runway program and its supporters helped raise thousands of dollars to provide scholarship funding for students in 2014.
Just last month, NEWH New York awarded $30,000 in scholarship funds to students, raised from the organization’s 2012 fundraising activities.
