The following brief describes the learning objectives and topics to be covered by "Design Expertise with Ceramic Tile":
Material choice for floor and wall coverings has undergone a dramatic shift in preference in the last decade. Hard surface applications have seen double digit growth with Ceramic tile being one of the fastest growing sectors. Creating healthy, livable, productive and more sustainable interiors is spurring a wealth of innovative design solutions featuring this age-old building material.
This course takes the design professional through the evolution and revolution of ceramic tile technology. Specific attention is focused in each session by anticipating how the acquired information impacts or can be utilized in the design process. Participants will learn the right questions to ask and obtain the pertinent truths necessary to quantify the best design options for a variety of environments and applications.
A visually stimulating program combined with reference tile samples, as well as relevant handouts and calculation formulas for design libraries and future reference, puts the necessary tools, information and inspiration in each participant's hands in order to maximize their experience and expertise with ceramic tile design projects.
In addition to the IDCEC organizations arranging for CEU programs, Tile of Spain is offering this course to any interested organizations and/or companies. They can be scheduled through the Tile of Spain Center in Miami by calling (305) 446-4387.
