 First U.S. Supermarket Chain Awarded LEED Portfolio Volume Certification
The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company of Quincy, MA, recently announced that they have been awarded LEED® Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. This achievement distinguishes Stop & Shop not only as the first supermarket chain, but also the first company in the country earning Volume Certification under the Portfolio Program.
Firm Vision Most Common Cause of Conflict Among A/E Principals
A recent survey of A/E firm leaders indicates that the most common cause of conflict among design firm principals relates to a company’s vision. According to ZweigWhite's newly released 2008 Principals, Partners & Owners Survey of Architecture, Engineering, Planning & Environmental Consulting Firms, 28 percent of the A/E firm leaders surveyed indicate that firm vision/growth is among the biggest causes of conflict among principals in their firm.
J&J / Invision Obtains ISO Certification
The ISO 14001 certification comes as a result of an established organization-wide environmental management system. J&J / Invision began the certification process in September 2007 and formatted a process for determining and improving significant environmental impacts. This included adapting new processes and systems, as well as training associates.
