The deadline for the BKLYN DESIGNS competition for an original, site-specific installation has been extended to Friday, March 17, 2017. Commissioned by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the installation offers an alternative avenue for designers, architects, artists and makers to illustrate their work during NYCxDESIGN – the official citywide celebration of design. BKLYN DESIGNS will take place at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint from May 5-7, 2017.
Developed around the theme of connectivity, the installations should address the ties that bond us – creatively, socially, technologically, geographically. The competition is open to Brooklyn-based artists, designers, architects, engineers and others with demonstrated experience in the conceptualization, design and production of creative installations.
