MaxLite Names Boyd Corbett Vice President of Sales, Central Region
Set to manage sales throughout 17 Midwest states.
WEST CALDWELL, NJ -- To enhance services to customers while increasing sales and market penetration within the Central Region, MaxLite® Senior Vice President of Sales Thomas Rhee announces the appointment of Boyd Corbett to Vice President of Sales, Central Region. Corbett will report directly to Rhee and manage sales throughout 17 Midwest states for MaxLite, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of the award-winning MaxLED® luminaires and lamps.
“Boyd brings more than 30 years of lighting sales experience on the distributor, sales agency and supplier levels, and we look forward to working with him to build our business and support our customers while he hits the ground running,” explains Rhee. “We welcome Boyd to our team and invite lighting professionals throughout the market to contact him for our latest energy efficient lighting solutions.”
Corbett will manage MaxLite sales representatives to build stronger relationships with architects, lighting designers, engineers, distributors, contractors, end users, OEMs and national accounts. Under his leadership, the central region’s sales force will develop energy efficient lighting programs in a variety of market segments including commercial, institutional, residential, hospitality, municipalities/public lighting, school, retail, healthcare and industrial.
He will be in charge of managing sales in 17 states including: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas.
Corbett has been an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) for more than 25 years, including six years on the IESNA Board of Directors and serving as President of the Chicago IES Section from 2010 to 2012.
“I am excited to join MaxLite which is in the perfect position for strong growth in today’s marketplace,” Corbett says. “My 30 years of extensive industry sales experience has prepared me for this position and I look forward to working with the MaxLite team and lighting professionals throughout the region.”
Corbett has been involved with LED lighting since 1993 when he served as national sales and marketing manager for Toshiba America Lighting Company. His other positions included national account sales manager for Philips Lighting, national sales manager for Belfer Group Inc., vice president of sales for Lightology Inc., a leading lighting showroom and distribution group, and most recently, vice president for LED One Inc., a manufacturer of solid-state lighting.
