Inc. Magazine Selects Peopledesign as One of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in U.S.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–Peopledesign is proud to announce its placement in the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 list of fastest growing private companies in America. With nearly 7 million private, employer-based companies in the U.S., this is a noteworthy achievement. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs.

Many of today’s most successful U.S. companies received their first national recognition by earning a spot on Inc.’s list. Peopledesign joins this elite group alongside past recipients such as Microsoft, Timberland, Vizio, Jamba Juice, Oracle, UnderArmour, E*Trade, and Zappos.

Since its founding in 1997, Peopledesign has been a story of smart growth and adaptation. The company began as BBK Studio, an award-winning and successful communications design studio. In 2007, the company reinvented itself as Peopledesign, a future-facing experience design firm focused on customer-centered business transformation.

Peopledesign co-owners Kevin Budelmann and Yang Kim will accept this award on behalf of the firm at the 30th Annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony on September 24, 2011 in Washington, D.C.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from a prestigious publication like Inc.” says Kevin Budelmann, president of Peopledesign. “It is great validation that our approach to transforming companies and designing game-changing results is gaining attention from the broader business community.”

The Peopledesign Method, an architecture for thinking about human-centered design and a process for governing the work, has been very effective for Peopledesign’s clients. It bridges innovation management, business fundamentals, and customer experience strategy.
