HUNTINGBURG, Ind.—OFS Brands, a leading supplier of contract furniture, is now using the ecoScorecard platform to help specifiers evaluate the environmental attributes of the company’s products against all major third-party rating systems. EcoScorecard is a free, web-based technology platform that gives product manufacturers the ability to provide environmental information and sustainability documentation about products for third-party rating systems.
“Adopting the ecoScorecard tool is part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability at OFS Brands,” says Mike Wagner, senior vice president of sales and marketing for OFS. “We realize that LEED documentation can be a time-consuming process. Now our customers who are seeking LEED documentation for any Carolina, Loewenstein, OFS or First Office product are able to access ecoScorecard directly from our websites and research our green product offerings, perform calculations and produce LEED documentation in a matter of minutes.”
OFS Brands is comprised of four distinct companies—Carolina, Loewenstein, OFS and First Office—that provide furniture to a wide range of contract interior environments. All four companies will use the ecoScorecard tool.
“OFS Brands realizes that green building is an important and shared responsibility,” says Martin Flaherty, co-founder of ecoScorecard. “The ecoScorecard tool allows OFS Brands to empower product specifiers with the environmental metrics and documentation they need to achieve sustainability goals.”
