IRVINE, CALIF.—Momentum Group has launched a new Website, www.memosamples.com, to showcase products from its Momentum Textiles, LoomSource, and Textus brands. Designed specifically for ease of use among designers and specifiers, the Website features a faster, more intuitive interface.
“With this redesign, there were two key objectives. First, it had to be user-friendly with robust and fast-loading information, detailed specifications, and high-quality photography. At the same time, we were intent on communicating our initiatives with respect to the environment and sharing more about our company culture and the people that make Momentum Group what it is,” says Eddie Elizondo, Director of Marketing, Momentum Group.
The Website boasts several new features including faster searches (fabric results are narrowed in real-time as different criteria are selected); a ‘favorites’ folder for saving SKUs; a zoom feature to see fabric and furniture details; and full specifications, including test data, for all fabrics.
Among the most notable improvements is 5 Clicks, a tool that links Momentum Textiles’ pre-approval and grade-in information to real-time inventory data in five quick steps. The first and only tool of its kind in the contract textiles industry, 5 Clicks allows customers to circumvent the time-consuming process of verifying grade-in and pre-approval through multiple channels and safeguards against specifying a product that is not in stock.
Momentum Group will be raffling one iPad 2 per month, from April through June. To be eligible, visit the Website, complete a 5 Clicks search, and complete a brief survey.
For the redesign, it was also a priority to have an aesthetic that is in line with Momentum Group’s focus on design, its culture, and its commitment to environmental sustainability. A clean palette is a backdrop for the broad array of products. Moreover, there are three new sections that provide more extensive information about Momentum Group: a regularly updated News section, background information about Momentum Group’s Design team, and an Environment section with the company’s long-term goals.
The Environment section of the website is robust with individual pages focused on stewardship, product design, carbon footprint, and community involvement, as well as a search tool for LEED-compliant textiles. Momentum Group—which implemented ISO 14001 in 2009 and is making significant strides to make 100 percent of new products classified as Reduced Environmental Impact by 2013 (see overall timeline here)—makes its environmental initiatives clear and thorough.
“It is no longer enough to carry ‘green’ products. We must also walk the walk and be transparent with our initiatives—from what we do in the community to our product offering to ensuring our headquarters is a net energy producer. This was our reasoning for creating an extensive Environment section,” says Elizondo.
