CHICAGO /PRNewswire/ – As the American trade deficit widens, a Chicago-based marketing firm believes a focus on “green” can help erase red in the U.S. economy.
Vertical Incorporated recently announced it will showcase tools and strategies at Greenbuild 2010 in Chicago, November 17-19, to help sales and marketing executives drive revenues in the green building market and ultimately reduce reliance on energy imports.
"Oil and energy-related products continue to contribute to the U.S. trade deficit," says Michael Keating, president of Vertical Inc. "And according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, buildings are a major consumer of energy—accounting for nearly 40 percent of total U. S. energy consumption in 2008. Vertical is focused on creating more sophisticated marketing programs for green product manufacturers and alternative energy companies. We want to help bolster the trend of converting buildings into sustainable facilities that consume less energy."
The recent U.S. Commerce Department's trade report supports Verticals “more-green, less-red” philosophy, according to Keating. "The Commerce Department reported across-the-board increases in imported oil and energy-related products. For example, year-to-date totals of fuel oil imports increased 38 percent from June 2009 to June 2010," he explains. "Clearly, reducing demand for energy imports is one step in helping restore the U.S. trade balance."
At Greenbuild 2010, Vertical will unveil market research techniques and new marketing communications tools that can help green product manufacturers expand market share and increase revenue, according to Keating.
"We have helped our clients market and sell products and services to building owners for more than eight years," says Keating. "At Greenbuild, we'll demonstrate digital marketing tools we've developed that can be used to promote energy-efficiency products. Our tools not only help manufacturers increase sales but also help lower the carbon footprint of their marketing programs."
The Greenbuild International Conference & Expo takes place in Chicago at the McCormick Place Convention Center, November 16-18. Vertical will demonstrate marketing communications products and services at booth number L620.
