One of the most common criticisms of the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Rating System is that there is often a disconnect between the projected energy savings and performance of a building in the design and modeling phase versus how it actually performs in its daily operations. USGBC Announces 1 Billion Square Feet of LEED Certified Projects Worldwide
This month, the total footprint of commercial projects certified under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Rating System surpassed 1 billion square feet. Another 6 billion square feet of projects are registered and currently working toward LEED certification around the world.
