Eligibility Requirements: - Each Bloom Award will be given to a manufacturer for a specific product. Interior designers', architects', and owners' projects are not eligible for entry.
- Entries must enable green/sustainable performance in the interior design of commercial spaces.
- The product must have been introduced to the marketplace after December 31, 2006.
- Product concepts are not eligible for entry.
- There will be five Bloom Awards given, in the following categories: Furniture; Flooring; Textiles; Lighting; and Innovative Materials. See "Product Categories," on the submission form, for details on each category.
- Third-party sustainability certifications of product entries are not required, but will be taken into consideration during the judging process. Product certifications include but are not limited to:
- C2C (Cradle-to-Cradle)
- EcoLogo
- Energy Star
- FloorScore
- FSC Certified
- GREENGUARD Air Quality Certification
- Green Label Plus
- Green Seal
- Indoor Advantage
- SMART Sustainable Product Standard
- Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard (NSF-140)
- Sustainable Choice
- SFI Certified
Entry Rules: - Submissions open July 15, 2008, and will close at 11:59PM EST on September 15, 2008.
- Entries may be submitted electronically via this site only. Entries sent through the mail or by fax will not be considered. Should you wish to modify or revise your entry, you may do so beginning 48 hours following your original entry.
- Each entry must be accompanied by one (1) high-resolution image, 5 inches by 7 inches.
- A short video file may be included with each entry, to be uploaded to an FTP site. For more information on how to submit a video, please contact allison.kundel@stamats.com
- Submissions of product samples* are encouraged and may include:
- Finish samples (not to exceed 6" x 6") of the product showing substrate and final finish coat
- Fabric samples (not to exceed 1 yard in length)
- Wallcovering samples (not to exceed 1 yard in length)
- Carpet samples (not to exceed 12" x 12")
* Product samples will not be returned. Full-scale products such as casegoods, seating, and the like will not be accepted.
- Entry fee is $395.00 for the first product submitted; each additional product is $145. Entry fees are nonrefundable.
- Entrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted.
- All entry and informational materials become the property of Interiors & Sources and ASID. Entrants agree that photography submitted with entries may be used by Interiors & Sources and ASID in print and online. NOTE: If images submitted are not owned by entrant, it is entrant's responsibility to ensure that proper user permissions have been obtained from image owners.
- Interiors & Sources and ASID reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not conform to entry guidelines.
- Following the closing of submissions on September 15, 2008, the Bloom Awards judging panel, made up of ASID members and Interiors & Sources editors, will evaluate all entries.
- Winners will be notified prior to the Greenbuild event, Nov. 19-21, 2008 in Boston. Interiors & Sources editors will contact winners to obtain more information about the winning products and will feature those products more extensively in an upcoming issue of Interiors & Sources magazine.
