KI Rallies for Haitian Employees

GREEN BAY, WI – KI employees nationwide rallied their support for Haitian co-workers at its manufacturing facility in Montreal whose families were directly affected by the recent natural disasters in Haiti.

KI’s Montreal plant, which specializes in wood manufacturing, currently employs nearly 20 percent of individuals who are of Haitian decent—most of who still have immediate family members in their native country.

“KI reacted immediately to the needs of its employees,” says Beth Seymour, vice president of business operations, KI. “We strive to be a company that not only upholds strong moral business practices but also one that supports our co-workers in a most dire time of need.”

KI’s corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility, located in Green Bay, WI, rallied support with multiple fundraising efforts, including a bake sale and various raffle activities. In all, KI employees raised several thousands of dollars to be sent to the manufacturing facility in Montreal for the direct benefit of Haitian employees and their families.
