Heritage Glass was the supplier that first introduced glass to the terrazzo market. We have taken the best color formulations and developed a way to process recycled glass into a terrazzo aggregate that has a desirable, multi-dimensional shape and permanent color that is not found in natural marble aggregate. All of our glass and bottles are recycled to produce colored glass rocks with color and depth for the terrazzo flooring market. Our product is perfect for any green building project. Our aggregates are colored completely through and not painted, which accomplishes a dazzling effect not found with other aggregates like marble, metal, or plastic chips.
We have also developed a new product that achieves a look not found in any other aggregate. We have taken sparkling colors and added a silver coating to them so that when ground, the color reflects jewel-like color with intense clarity. This effect can be put on almost all of our standard colors except black.
Terrazzo floors last up to 40 years. Heritage Glass aggregates are non-porous and resistant to most acids. The hardness and abrasion resistance of glass aggregate exceeds that of many traditional materials used in terrazzo. Our glass may be used as the only aggregate in a specific installation or it may be combined with marble to give a particular color accent.
We have supplied our glass to major government, transportation, university, and entertainment projects. Some of these include: Ohio State University Athletic Department in Columbus, OH; New York, New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas; Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY; and Dublin International Airport in Dublin, Ireland.
