PaletteApp Now Available to Interior Designers

CHICAGO—Architects and design professionals in the contract interiors industry now have a virtual resource library of thousands of manufacturer products from companies like Arc-Com, Sherwin-Williams, Carnegie and J+J/Invision at their fingertips with PaletteApp, a new and free online digital design program.

PaletteApp offers easy product selections and comparisons, and allows interior design professionals to create new design palettes for projects or presentations. Users can sort through thousands of products by entering project data, with the PaletteApp filtering system eliminating unnecessary product options. Users can search products by type, budget or style, and efficiently order samples.

“PaletteApp is a powerful new program that will impact the design community in much the same manner as AutoCAD, which forever changed drafting and design,” says Jerry Freeman, founder and CEO of PaletteApp. “For the manufacturers on the site, it will enable them to reach further into the A&D community than they ever could before.”

Additionally, PaletteApp offers users an extensive and continuously updated library of products and materials. Designers and architects are able to save, compare and reference multiple design and product options for their clients.

Other unique features on PaletteApp include:

  • Product specs in easy, one-touch downloads
  • Project binders
  • Customized user and project libraries
  • 24/7 access to palettes and design libraries
  • Automatic product updates and project storage

The team at PaletteApp is also in the process of developing a version for use on iPads, as well as a version exclusively for students. Both of these programs will be released in 2013.

“Finish boards are a thing of the past for commercial work,” says Janice Kitchen, ASID, LEED AP ID+C, senior interior designer with Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. “We are working with lean fees and time on our projects. In addition, the concept of easily sharing these finish boards/binders with all project team members is also appealing.”
