In the spirit of holiday giving we presume, we asked and you delivered this time! Here are some responses to our Facebook query from last week, calling for pictures of over-the-top holiday office decorating, parties or events. Some of these guys could give Clark W. Griswold a lesson in interior illumination...
The folks at KI don't mess around when it comes to displaying their Christmas spirit, as the next few photographs will prove. From fake snow, to stockings, to collectible homes adorning the tops of cubicles, they were really pushing for some brownie points with Santa this year.
Just in case you were wondering, the answer is yes, that is an actual light-up, motorized lawn reindeer. Right where it belongs: on top of a filing cabinet.
These guys quite literally built themselves into their very own little gingerbread house. Complete with a fireplace inside, and a mailbox, roof shingles and laid bricks on the outside.
The folks at VP+C - a marketing communications firm who's served the design community well over the years - put their client's product to good use. Employees made their own (very colorful we might add) Christmas tree and Menorah, all done on the wall of their conference room, recently painted with Benjamin Moore's chalkboard paint!
Over at the corporate headquarters of The Children's Place in Secaucus, NJ, elves were up into the wee hours of the morning working on their entries for a very intense gingerbread house contest. Pictured above is the winner: a replica of the house in the 2009 Disny Pixar movie, UP.
Not only did Beth Dickstein Enterprises (BDE) - a public relations, marketing and brand development firm that is another great friend to the design industry - hold a fabulous holiday party with live carolers, but they also were sporting this pipe-cleaner tree in the center of their office. As if that's not bad-ass enough, if you look a little closer you'll find some very special ornaments hanging from it:
Four different Michael Jackson ornaments, each featuring his famously carved-up nose at varying stages of his life.
And that's all folks. From our family to yours, we hope you are in the middle of a wonderful holiday season!
