LOS ANGELES -- JANUS et Cie  has announced the launch of a new web site, designed to serve the needs of interior designers, specifiers, facility managers, government purchasing agents, corporate dealers and end-users who select furniture specifically for the contract market. With a clean modern look, the new site (www.janusetciecontract.com), offers access to more than 1,500 JANUS et Cie products engineered for contract environments—including collections by renowned designers such as Michael Vanderbyl, Jorge Pensi, Ross Lovegrove and Jean-Louis Guinochet.

“We have worked diligently,” says JANUS et Cie President Janice Feldman, “to create an engaging site with intuitive navigation that allows users to quickly find exactly what they are looking for. As an example, products are organized by category—seating, tables and accessories—for instant review of different styles and a range of price points within the category. Visitors can also view an extensive gallery of contract installations with new product photography. The site is an enhanced research and shopping tool that designers will find indispensable.”

Design of the site allows the visitor to effortlessly scroll through silhouettes of individual products and if desired, view a sofa, chair or table from different angles, see the entire collection it represents and quickly review materials, colors, dimensions and applications. Products are shown in every color available and tear sheets can be printed or forwarded via email to others involved in the selection and purchasing decision. JANUS et Cie’s contract site also provides complete contact information, listing all showroom locations, the company’s dedicated dealers and contract sales representatives.

Finally, the site invites visitors to review recent editorial features and advertising, press releases and Topiary, JANUS et Cie’s popular newsletter. “Initial feedback confirms that we’ve succeeded in creating a site that is an appealing and informative resource for the contract industry," says Feldman. "Some features are quite unique. When you view a collection that captures your interest, you can also click a 'complementary collections' option that allows you to see other pieces that will work well with your choice or offer a related aesthetic. JANUS et Cie is now able to serve contract customers on a higher level than we have in the past.”

As a company that has achieved General Services Administration (GSA) certification as a partner, is on GSA schedule, and is also certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the WBENC, JANUS et Cie products are qualified to fulfill minority criteria for corporate and public agency projects. Additionally, the company offers many green products, including JANUSfiber™ a proprietary “Generation-Next” weather resistant fiber™ that is completely recyclable. Contract customers can be assured that JANUS et Cie products featured on the site are designed and engineered to meet rigorous contract standards, including the potential to contribute to LEED certification, ergonomic design and exceptional durability and strength. The site also offers choices that allow buyers to accommodate their budgets, and a wide range of stocked “Quick Ship” products which are ready to ship immediately to outfit a small project or a large installation.

“We are pleased to introduce this web site to the contract community,” adds Feldman. “The look and feel is quite a departure from our existing site, which is equally sophisticated, but has a residential orientation. With the site up and running, we are ready to play a unique and visible role in today’s contract furniture market.”
