eScape by Sky Factory

 

Who are you?
Sky Factory eScape, a digital cinema virtual window to nature.

Where are you from?
I was born and raised at the Sky Factory in Fairfield, Iowa. That’s where my roots are, but I have extended family around the globe.

Who in your family do you most resemble?
I resemble my older sibling, Sky Factory’s Luminous Virtual Window, a static image illusion, but I have high-definition motion and include the authentic sounds of nature.

Aside from sugar and spice and everything nice, what else are you made of?
I am a high-tech illusion made of a wall-mounted, industrial-grade HD LCD monitor embedded in a custom-designed window frame. I display beautiful, engaging and proprietary nature content captured with RED Digital Cinema technology.

What one word best describes you?
Based on what people say when they meet me, the best word to describe me is “wow.”

What are your biggest turn-ons?
I thrive on enlivening the innate connection and attraction that humans have to the natural world. Nothing thrills me more than transforming an interior space that is otherwise dark, dreary and dull.

Turn-offs?
Yes, I do have a switch but most people leave me on.

How do you lessen your environmental impact?
My LED screen technology helps keep me leaner and greener. I also aim to make a difference by inspiring people to respect, appreciate and care for the natural world.

What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Sometimes I forget that I am looking in the mirror and believe that I am truly looking out a window at a beautiful landscape! Depending on my mood, I can simulate ocean waves, a tropical sunset, pristine snowfall and even an aquarium.

In what type of interior environment do you make the greatest impact?
I am versatile and can make an impact in any interior environment, but I shine in enclosed spaces where access to nature is limited or impossible. My ideal applications include healthcare facilities, spas, hotels and casinos.

What would be your dream job?
Since I am good at enhancing the patient experience, it would be rewarding to bring my calming, soothing properties to all children’s hospitals, and to bring a sense of peace and comfort to hospice patients.

Describe the secret to your success.
Quality, beauty, innovation, cutting-edge technology, exclusive content, and the ability to transform any interior space and transport the viewer to another place—these are the secrets to my success.
