WHO ARE YOU?
My name is Cocoon. I am quick, light and comfortable, and I don't mind saying good looking as well.

WHO IN YOUR FAMILY DO YOU MOST RESEMBLE?
My dad was the iconic, classic 1950s coconut chair. My mum was a sexy, tropical papasan lounge from the 1970s. Those are good genes, but I have my own unique look.

WHAT ARE YOU MADE OF?
I have a light, airy mesh back available in 30 different colors and an upholstered cushion ready for your choice of fabrics, all perched on a slender sled base.

WHAT WORD BEST DESCRIBES YOU?
Transparent.

BIGGEST TURN-ONS?
Color. I love giving designers the chance to play with all my different mesh color tops and then having them find the right fabric to go with the mesh.

BIGGEST TURN-OFF?
Big, clunky, overstuffed lounge seating—hit the gym, biggest loser!

IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY HAVE THREE THINGS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
Maybe a nice, big occasional table to prop my feet on and a bunch of my Cocoon chair friends to collaborate with. Piña coladas for everyone!

HOW DO YOU LESSEN YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT?
I shed my thick urethane foam for an ultra-friendly, minimal mesh. I hit the gym and trimmed my frame down to slender steel legs. I'm about as green as they come, even though I come in 30 colors.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Having a big presence while still being simple and pure.

WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR?
Simplicity, fun and beauty … and just a little quirkiness.

WHERE DO YOU MAKE THE GREATEST IMPACT?
In a collaborative space that may need a quick rearranging for some informal meetings. A space that requires a piece light in scale but big on impact—maybe interiors that are more residential in nature.

DESCRIBE THE SECRET TO YOUR SUCCESS.
Having style, but not taking myself too seriously. I'm always chillin' and comfortable!
