National Office Furniture Kicks Off Season of Giving With $25,000 Gift of Inspiration

 

JASPER, IN—In keeping with the holiday season of giving, National Office Furniture, a brand unit of Kimball International Inc, announced the start of its fourth Gift of Inspiration, a program of cash awards intended to benefit worthwhile organizations in the fields of health care and education. National has presented $60,000 in donations to education and health care organizations through the Company’s Gift of Inspiration program in the last 18 months.

The latest Gift of Inspiration for Healthcare Environments allows health care organizations to register to win $25,000 from the office furniture manufacturer. Health care organizations can enter now through February 28, 2011 simply by registering at www.nationalofficefurniture.com/healthcare and be automatically entered to win. No purchase is necessary.

The most recent recipient of a $25,000 Gift of Inspiration for Education Environments was Hill College of Hillsboro, Texas. Hill College was National’s third Gift of Inspiration winner. With the donation, Hill College plans to start its “Building Pathways of Success” program to provide scholarships to first generation college students. The students are identified as those not having any immediate family members that attended or graduated from a two or four year college. The funds from National’s Gift of Inspiration will provide opportunities for these students to start a legacy of continuing education to pass along to future generations.

The previous winner of the $25,000 Gift of Inspiration for Healthcare Environments was the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, which used the donation to develop outdoor healing initiatives, including a healing garden and walking paths. Prior to this, National awarded its first award of $10,000 to Southwest Middle School of Savannah, Georgia, where the funds were utilized to start a “Second Chance” mentoring and after school program for at-risk students. Based on responses to the program, National increased the gift amounts to $25,000.

Drawing upon a wealth of knowledge from serving these two key customer markets, National Office Furniture started its Gift of Inspiration program to enable opportunities for educators and healthcare providers to enrich lives and communities. National wanted to do its part in supporting educators, students, caregivers, and care recipients with a chance to provide inspirational, meaningful programs, especially as funding for these important initiatives has been challenged by the current economy. National’s program allows the company to give back to these markets with financial gifts that may be used for technology needs, scholarships, training and development programs, or facility enhancements.
