The Salon Series, designed for HBF by Barbara Barry, is a study in elegant understatement. This new collection reflects Barry’s move toward simplicity of line and purity of form. Serpentine lines and sublime contours create a stunning new profile that speaks to the human body form. The lounge chair is offered as a fully upholstered version or with a surround of walnut veneer.

B&B Italia’s Iuta

B&B Italia’s Iuta is an elegant seating line that uses a molded, technical wire mesh shell with profiled aluminum edging to create a series of armchairs, side chairs and stools in two different shapes. Iuta is available with polished chrome wire bases or in four star fixed or five star adjustable height versions. Designed by Antonio Citterio, the chairs have upholstered seat cushions while the armchairs have the additional option of an upholstered back cushion.

Designed for Aceray by Daniel Rode, FORMA is available in either low arm (featured) or high arm options. The frame is constructed of solid European hardwood, and the front rail is reinforced with a steel bar. Multi-density HR polyurethane foam, offered in varying levels of firmness, is used for the seat cushions. Legs come in either polished or brushed stainless steel.

APRRO’s Tour lounge

APRRO’s Tour lounge addresses the age-old paradox: How do you make a static piece of furniture move? Tour was designed to impart motion into an otherwise stable form. The beveled leather cushion reiterates the angular feel of the cantilevered base, and the mirror polished stainless steel leg almost disappears as it spins.

Dauphin introduces Perillo, a stunning contemporary lounge chair designed by Martin Ballendat. This eye-catching piece is crafted from one continuous sheet of material, offering an uninterrupted line that forms this ultra modern chair. Perillo’s sophisticated design, yet simple sculptural appearance, makes it a perfect choice for lobbies, touchdown spaces, and more.

There are many bent plywood shell chairs on the market; however, the Prime Chair from Davis Furniture has one feature that no other chair offers: ribbed veneer. The ribbing is actually pressed into the surface as the shell is formed. The sculptured wood frame takes on a concave/convex shape, offering excellent comfort.
