The LEED for Existing Buildings Certification System was designed to help building owners and operators measure the performance of their buildings' operations, improvements and maintenance on a consistent scale, with the goal of high performance – maximizing operational service and efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts. The certification system addresses whole-building energy and water use, indoor comfort and air quality, purchasing activity, cleaning and maintenance issues (including chemical use), recycling programs, and exterior maintenance programs. This webinar series will feature project case studies highlighting lessons learned from LEED implementation.

Continuing Education Credits


Each webinar in this series will be registered for one hour of credit per session with the following continuing education programs: AIA/CES, BOMI, CoreNet, and IFMA.

Continuing education credits will be awarded to the individual whose name is on the webinar registration. Other attendees who wish to receive credit must pay the registration fee or purchase the archived version of the presentation and take the associated quiz.
To earn AIA credits

You must enter your AIA number at the bottom of the online registration form. Upon providing this information and viewing a webinar, your participation will automatically be reported to the AIA and the credit will show on your transcript within six weeks. If you did not provide your AIA number during registration, to earn credit, you must send an e-mail to workshop@usgbc.org that includes your AIA number, name, the webinar date, and the webinar session title.

To earn credits with other providers (BOMI, CoreNet, or IFMA only)

If you view a live webinar: You may request a certificate of attendance by sending an email to workshop@usgbc.org that includes your name, the webinar date, and the webinar session title.
If you view an archived webinar: You must take the post-webinar quiz. Upon receiving an adequate score, you will have the opportunity to print your own certificate of completion.
Webinar Structure

Each webinar is designed to be a stand-alone session, but participating in all four webinars will ensure that you have a comprehensive overview of the subject matter and extensive tools to implement successful strategies for your existing buildings.
