CHICAGO—The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is pleased to participate as the official knowledge partner at The Office Exhibition, the Middle East's premier office fit-out and design event, May 15-17, 2012 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. IIDA will also be partnering in two competitions, The Middle East Office & Hospitality Product Design Awards and The Office Exhibition Interior Design Competition.
“Many of our members are based in the Middle East and across the world, and our partnership with The Office Exhibition allows us to reach our international members and recognized their talents and achievements through these competitions,” says Cheryl Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP, CEO and executive vice president of IIDA.
The Middle East Office & Hospitality Product Design Awards honor manufacturers and designers for excellence in product design for the commercial office and hotel industries in 12 categories. Only products designed for commercial office space or for the hotel market and offered for sale or use after February 1, 2011 can enter. Any interior designer, interior architect or architect may submit a design project. The project must be located in the Middle East, however, the design firm may be located anywhere. The project must have been completed between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2011.
There are nine categories that a project may be entered in including Corporate Space Large, Corporate Space Small, Cultural/Institutional/Educational, Healthcare, Hotels, Municipal/Public Spaces, Restaurants, Retail and Spas/Fitness/Wellness Centers.
The cost to enter is $175 per entry for both competitions. Each product or project may only be submitted once. The competitions are now open and the deadline to enter is April 26. Enter now at the IIDA website.
