The Hermitage selected number six out of more than 850 luxury hotels
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. News named the ForrestPerkins-designed Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. among the "Best Hotels in the U.S.A." More than 850 luxury hotels were evaluated and 86 made the magazine's exclusive list.
"There are 10 elite properties that rise to the very top as the most beautiful, most luxurious and most beloved hotels in the country," according to U.S. News. The Hermitage is No. 6 among the Top 10. "Reflecting the Beaux-Arts fashion of the early 20th century, this 1910 hotel boasts a lobby adorned with massive marble columns and magnificent chandeliers."
As the design architect and interior designer, ForrestPerkins led an extensive restoration of The Hermitage a few years ago and the grand hotel has maintained its exceptional status ever since. The Hermitage is one of only 38 hotels in America that has achieved both a Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond designation. ForrestPerkins designed three of those 38 spectacular hotels, including The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia and the Woodlands Inn in Summerville, South Carolina.
