Three day event features new collections, talks, book signings and more
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Washington Design Center is excited to announce its Capital Design Days event schedule, which will feature the newest collections from WDC showrooms, punctuated with talks by design celebrities, book signings and showroom events from April 12-14.
Highlights of this year's event include magazine editor and lifestyle expert Eddie Ross on how designers can style their projects for photography; the renowned designer David Easton on his new book, Timeless Elegance; and a panel discussion on the design legacy of Billy Baldwin.
On April 14, consumers are encouraged to visit the WDC as almost every program that day is open to both the public and trade professionals. The April 14 signature program will feature set decorators from the Michael Douglas film "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" and the television series "Brothers & Sisters." Principal designers from the DC Design House will also share secrets on how they transformed indoor and outdoor spaces of a home in DC's Forest Hills neighborhood into a luxury show house, using fabrics and furnishings from many of the WDC showrooms.
