Matt Petersen, Amy Wells, Margaret Russell, Henrik Fisker and Ed Begley, Jr. will present the keynotes for the 2011 NeoCon trade show, according to organizers. The 2011 lineup will feature a significant emphasis on green design and sustainability.

Beautiful Earth Group and Gensler Announce New Sustainable Energy Center in New York City
Beautiful Earth Group, a Brooklyn-based sustainable energy company founded in 2008, and Gensler, the global architecture, design, planning and consulting firm, have announced a joint plan to develop a new sustainable energy education center in New York City. The center, to be built later this year, will be a destination both for students and the public to learn about the benefits of using clean, renewable energy and how it can be used in an urban environment.

Chute Gerdeman Honored at A.R.E. Design Awards
Design firm Chute Gerdeman took home multiple honors at the recent A.R.E. Design Awards ceremony, as two of the firm's recent projects were recognized, and the firm's co-founder and CEO, Denny Gerdeman, received the annual Markopoulos Award from DDI magazine.

The Beaudevin Wine Bar gives travelers a place to unwind, but is also tailored to refined tastes, right in the midst of the bustling Miami International Airport's D Terminal. Schmidt Design Studio, an interior design firm specializing in restaurants, bars and corporate spaces, worked with HMSHost and Cuhaci & Peterson Architects to transform the 1,000-square-foot space into a high-style European oasis for travelers.
